Sketch on the Bus in May XV

Sketching someone who is by your side ain't easy, but as this girl was talking I could only catch a few lines!

Sketches on the train and tube in May XIV

As I finished sketching one of the girls yesterday(Charlton to London Bridge-2nd sketch from above), this old lady looked over my shoulder and said, " This is the most pleasant journey I have had in London, watching you doing this has made my day, please show the girl she'll love it." So I showed the girl got her e-mail and I'll be sending a copy to her this morning. The girl was shocked and quite surprised, also short of words when she saw it. Thats one of the many great experiences you get sketching on the train!

Sketch of esSBee

I have always wanted to do a sketch of esSBee and this was the golden moment. The main focus is her hair. I never cease to be amazed by her hair and I couldn't wait to get my hands dirty with charcoal and pencils to sort this one out.

I have used Cotman Watercolour paper 300grams, with Creta colour charcoal powder, Pitt oil base pencils (medium and soft)and some Muji pen long erasers with a bristle brush an water for initial applications. size of paper is 11" x 15"

Sketches on the bus in May VI

I didn't use the train or tube today I used the bus for only one journey and that was to drop my boy at the minders. It was a 469 bus from Belvedere Staion to Abbey Wood area. I was lucky to get two good models but not for long who sat in the same place for some quick ones.
