I'm a really big fan of your sketches of people on the train. This batch is no exception as somehow I feel like you're capturing the mood of the individual when you alternate between linework that is at times very energetic and at other times very subtle. Great work!

Now thanks Ali, you have just hit some "vital anaylsis", exactly about what I do! Thanks for being a fan!

It's so instructive to see your sketches. It's wonderful that you share your process with all of us. You get right to the "heart" of people in these studies.

Thanks L.Holm, I am happy you enjoy these sketches. I love the people and their faces, so when sketching unless I am feeling tired or worried about something- I sketch with ALL MY HEART! It is serious business!

This must have been a long train/bus ride, since you were able to do so many :)
wanted to write you, because I came to paint angels, because one time my oldest daughter asked me, "Mom paint me an angel, others paint them so wimpy - they are not like that." And the painting "The Night Watcher" here portrays that suberbly.
My art web site is www.stgermainart.com (please comment on my blog here, because my outlook express on website doesn't work) enjoy and cheers, jeannette
